JOIN THE CLIMATE SMART COMMITTEE!

• The Claverack Climate Committee works on several different types of projects that draw down carbon and enhance the resilience of our town and residents.
   

• Projects include community events, enhancing conservation and working toward achieving actions in New York State’s Clean Energy Communities program and  Climate Smart Communities programs.

• Committee members serve in an advisory capacity, making recommendations to the Town Board.
   

• The Committee is led by the Claverack CSC  Coordinator who is appointed by the Town Board..
   

• Are you interested in collaborating in positive change on projects that enhance sustainability in Claverack?  Would you like to propose or lead a project?  Come to a meeting to find out what we’re up to and learn how you can help!
   

• The CSC Committee includes the volunteers who serve as the Climate Smart Communities Task Force which is appointed by the Town Board and makes the formal advisory recommendations to the Board  according to the NYS CSC' certification requirements.

• The Climate Committee meets the second Monday of the month at 6PM.
  Meetings are open to the public and residents are welcome to attend. They take place at Claverack Library and you can always join by Zoom. You will receive a notice by email if you sign up here!
